A company appointed to run a new youth theatre in Derby is organising a taster session.
Derby Theatre’s learning manager Christina Lydon and Junk Shop Theatre, which will be running the youth theatre scheme, are inviting young people to the session on Saturday (17 November).
Those attending will be able to learn about the production that the youth theatre will be presenting next April in the theatre’s main house, David Farr’s Ruckus in the Garden.
The taster session will help youngsters to decide if they want to audition for the youth theatre.
The taster sessions will last an hour and are open to young people in school years seven to 13 (secondary and sixth form).
To book a place go to www.derbytheatre.co.uk or call 01332 593939.
A place in the youth theatre will cost £70 per term. There are some free and subsidised places available.
