Testing Times

Playwright and occasional BTG reviewer Steve Burbridge's play Testing Times, about the impact of being diagnosed as HIV+ on a young gay man, his partner and his mother and based on interviews Burbridge conducted with HIV+ young men from around the region, is to be revived in Newcastle this month.

It premièred at Trent House, a Newcastle pub, in April last year and the revival will be in the Studio of the People's Theatre in Heaton from 17 to 20 November.

Two members of the original cast reprise their roles: Christopher Strain plays the young man Dominic and Pauline Fleming his mother Brenda. New to the cast is Jamie Brown as Dominic's partner Chris.
