In Dreams, the new musical that uses the songs of Roy Orbison to tell a modern story, opens at Leeds Playhouse July 3–Aug 5.

The show's author is David West Read, writer and executive producer behind hit comedy Schitt's Creek, for which he won an Emmy.

David is working with theatre director Luke Sheppard, both of whom collaborated on the musical &Juliet, which recently concluded its run in the West End and is currently playing on Broadway and in Australia.

The new musical includes a number of Roy Orbison's most famous songs. Lena Hall, a Broadway name who won a Tony for Hedwig and the Angry Inch and has starred in Kinky Boots and Cats, is leading the cast.

She is joined by Noel Sullivan, once a part of the Popstars winners band Hear'Say, and Oliver Tompsett, who has starred in West End productions.
