The Hawth announces its spring season

Running from February to May the 2015 spring programme at The Hawth in Crawley offers comedy, music, family shows and film.

For theatre-lovers, Classic Ghosts stars Jack Shepherd and Jekyll and Hyde is reinterpreted in a modern adaptation by Sell A Door. Claire Sweeney has written and will star in Sex in Suburbia, a brand new comedy about dating, followed by the play The Naked Truth, a show about real women and real life.

The sequel to Dreamboats and Petticoats, Dreamboats and Miniskirts, is in May, followed by Oklahoma! starring Gary Wilmot as Ali Hakim and Belinda Lang as Aunt Ellie.

There will be a St George's Day celebration from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in April and an opportunity to hear one of the world's most prominent tenors, Russell Watson, in May. English Touring Opera returns with Puccini's La Bohème and Donizetti's Siege of Calais, also in May.

Family audiences can see Jurassic Adventure and The Tiger Who Came to Tea. The television animation Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom will be live on stage, plus the Sooty Show and the Chuckle Brothers.

Popular music includes a tribute to Michael Jackson in Forever Jackson in February and the music of Phil Collins serenading couples for Valentine's day in No Jacket Required. Former Yes keyboard player Rick Wakeman will be offering up his music and wit, while the Solid Silver '60s show brings a line-up including Billy J Kramer of the Searchers and The Merseybeats.

For comedy Milton Jones is back with the Temple of Daft, Sean Walsh will be in the Studio with his show 28. Lord of the Dance Settee with Richard Herring is in March, and there will be visits from Pam Ayres, Lee Nelson and Stewart Francis.

Primary school children looking for something to do during February half term can take to the stage themselves with The Hawth's Play in a Week Workshop culminating in a performance of Roald Dahl's Fantastic Mr Fox.

In addition to the regular film screenings, the cinema now screens live events, including performance from the Royal Opera House, National Theatre and galleries around the world. This season highlights include National Theatre Live Encore performance of Frankenstein, Treasure Island and Royal Shakespeare company's Love's Labours Lost, Much Ado About Nothing (Love's Labours found) and many more.
