The Snowman flies into Peacock for 22nd year

Birmingham REP’s production of Raymond Briggs's The Snowman is to visit London’s Peacock Theatre for the 22nd consecutive year.

The family favourite follows the story of a young boy's adventures when his snowman comes to life on Christmas Eve. It features dancing penguins, a snow princess, her wicked beau Jack Frost and the song “Walking in the Air”.

The cast includes Emanuela Atzeni, Cameron Ball, Ruben De Monte, Anthony Edwards, Martin Fenton, Kane Hoad, Tomoyo Tanimoto Jequier, Katrina Kelly, Clare Lander, Kimberly Lawrie, Owen McHugh, Rowan Parker, Elisha Sherma and Ami Tollin.

Bill Alexander directs. Choreography is by Robert North, design by Ruari Murchison, lighting by Tim Mitchell and music and lyrics by Howard Blake.

The Snowman will visit the Peacock Theatre from Thursday 21 November until Sunday 5 January 2020. It will also tour to Manchester Opera House, Theatre Royal Glasgow, the Lyric Theatre Academy for Performing Arts in Hong Kong, Esplanade Theatre Singapore and Milton Keynes Theatre.
