On Friday 2 January, John Walton from Farnborough scooped first prize in Yvonne Arnaud Theatre's Grand Prize Draw: a two-night gastro experience for two at Le Saint-James Hotel, Bordeaux.
Mr Walton, who has been visiting the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre regularly since it opened, said "my wife Ann and I have always enjoyed visiting the Yvonne Arnaud and have been buying tickets for their annual Grand Prize Draw for many years now—we never expected to win".
The French city is particularly pertinent to the theatre as Bordeaux was the birthplace of the actress Yvonne Arnaud.
Haslemere Travel Managing Director Gemma Antrobus said, "we are huge fans of this wonderful theatre and a gourmet trip to Yvonne Arnaud's birthplace in Bordeaux seemed to be the perfect prize."
