Blackpool Grand Theatre is launching a brand new theatre company for young people aged 14-19 years—one with special connections.
The venture will be part of the National Theatre’s Connections 500 programme which provides support to a network of youth theatres all over the country.
Next year it is marking 21 years of Connections by having 500 young companies take part in theatres across the UK.
If you are aged between 14 and 19 years and have an interest in any aspect of theatre, you are invited to be a part of this new company—completely free of charge.
Blackpool Grand Theatre National Connections Young Company will meet on Wednesday evenings in The Studio, plus during February half term, to create a piece of theatre.
Those who are interested in performance, theatre design (including lighting and sound), stage management, marketing and all aspects of theatre-making, are encouraged to apply.
There will be free two-hour taster sessions over the next three Wednesdays.
