For the first time ever, a limited number of tickets will be available to the public for this year’s Manchester Theatre Awards, to be held on Friday 7 March at the Royal Exchange Theatre.
Nominated by a panel of experienced theatre reviewers and professionals, including two regular BTG reviewers (David Upton and David Chadderton), the Manchester Theatre Awards celebrates the very best in theatre from around Greater Manchester.
This year’s awards feature nearly a hundred nominations in twenty categories. Star names like Kenneth Branagh, Maxine Peake and Alex Kingston are amongst the acting nominations, alongside newcomers and fringe performers.
The ceremony, hosted by comedian and actor Justin Moorhouse with some celebrity friends of the Awards helping out, takes place at the Royal Exchange Theatre at lunchtime on Friday 7 March. A strictly limited number of public tickets, priced at £15 each, are on sale from the Royal Exchange box office personal callers, online and by telephone on 0161 833 9833.
