Daniel Taylor as Tommy Cooper

A comedy play celebrating the life of legendary entertainer Tommy Cooper is coming to the St Helens Theatre Royal.

The Tommy Cooper Show sees West End star Daniel Taylor take on the central role.

More than 30 years since the comedian’s untimely death, Daniel, best known for his role as Sammy in Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers, revives magic tricks and a silly sense of humour for anyone who missed the original, or for those left wanting more.

The show features an equally talented supporting cast with Gareth Jones, (formerly known as Gaz-Top) as Miff Ferrie, Tommy’s long suffering agent and manager, along with West End actress Sharon Byatt as Tommy’s loyal and loving wife Gwen Cooper.

The show blends key points in Tommy’s life with magic and of course all the classic gags.
