Grammy Award-winning Russian soprano Ekaterina Lekhina will be coming to Liverpool to launch the first in a series of four opera performances on October 1.

The Liverpool Opera—Four Seasons production introduces the stars of Domingo’s Operalia, the World Opera Competition. Four widely-acknowledged opera singers will perform at St George’s Hall during each theatrical season.

It will be the first time the soprano star has performed in the city. She will be joined by special guest Barbara Ruzsics, who lives in Liverpool and graduated at the Liszt Academy of Music and is a student of soprano star Eva Marton, and David Walters who is Liverpool Hope University’s accompanist and piano tutor.

The performance will take place in the Concert Room and the programme will include works by Mozart, Puccini, Verdi and Donizetti.
