Trainspotting Live comes to Hope Mill Theatre, Manchester September 13–17.
The immersive production—based on Irvine Welsh’s seminal book—is on a UK tour this year including a return to the Edinburgh Fringe, an off West End season at Riverside Studios and regional touring.
A punchy, 75-minute production captures the passion and controversy of the novel—the audience are part of the show, including the notorious Worst Toilet in Scotland scene.
Trainspotting is the story of Mark Renton and friends, living through the Edinburgh heroin scene of the '80s. Harry Gibson’s original stage adaptation, written before it became the film, was itself controversial, and won Sunday Times Best New Play.
