The much-loved, all-male Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo returns with a UK tour opening at The Lowry in Salford on January 29-30.
'The Trocks' to their friends return with a lorry-load of costume changes and lashings of Diva attitude for a new programme that includes Les Sylphides, Pas de Deux, La Vivandiere and Walpurgis Nights.
Treading a fine line between high art and high camp, they celebrate the beauty and the essential absurdity of classical ballet. The dancers perform en pointe in glittering tutus, combining a loving knowledge of dance with a wicked sense of fun.
The combination of pure comedy, extraordinary technical prowess and genuine love of ballet have made them a global phenomenon since they formed in New York in 1974. The company has performed in over 30 countries and in over 500 cities around the world.
