Hull Truck's season launch

Hull Truck Theatre kicks off 2023 with a focus on the future with Mumsy, epic adventures with Around The World In 80 Days and home truths with The Houses Are Sinking (And The Adults Don’t Care).

They come with a variety of co-producing partners nationally and internationally, alongside music and comedy shows, entertainment for the family and contemporary work in the Godber Studio.

Mumsy (March 2–25), will wrap up the 50th anniversary celebrations by showcasing one of Hull’s own artistic voices. It’s a world première of Lydia Marchant’s comedy shining a light on three generations of women as they push at their circumstances.

In a co-production with Theatre By The Lake, Hull Truck stages Around The World In 80 Days (May 4–20)

Hull-based playwright and poet Josh Overton’s The Houses Are Sinking (And The Adults Don’t Care) (March 30–April 1) is based on opinions, ideas and voices of the Young Creators Group—theatre-makers aged 14-18 at Hull Truck.
