The on- and off-stage life of actors at Theatre by the Lake in Keswick is featured in a half-hour documentary to be shown on BBC 1 North East and Cumbria on Monday November 9 at 7:30PM, two days after the theatre’s summer season closes.

The programme, part of a BBC festival of theatre, is one of 11 broadcast simultaneously across Britain to showcase the role of regional theatres.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for the range and quality of the work we do to be exposed to a very large audience,” said Rachel Swift, head of marketing. “It comes at the end of a season that has been one of the most critically acclaimed seasons in the theatre’s history.”
