The UK première of Beyond Therapy starring Tracey Shaw (Coronation Street) and Matt Lapinskas (EastEnders, Dancing on Ice) with West End stars Mandy Holliday (Les Misérables) and Sam Lupton (Wicked) comes to several North West venues.
Prudence and Bruce are two New Yorkers deeply into therapy. But when their overzealous therapists suggest the answer to all their problems is to start dating, problems really begin. The Broadway comedy takes a tongue-in-cheek look at modern relationships.
It first opened Off-Broadway in 1981, with a cast including Sigourney Weaver as Prudence. It has since had numerous productions attracting all-star casts, including a 1987 film adaptation starring Jeff Goldblum and Glenda Jackson.
