A Birmingham theatre-in-education company wants to appoint a “dynamic and visionary” executive director to steer it through its “ambitious” plans for growth.

The Play House takes its touring programme of workshops to more than 50 schools each year, “bringing the curriculum to life for children aged three to 11 and beyond”. It has ambitions to apply to Arts Council England to become a national portfolio organisation in the next three or four years.

The new executive director will work alongside artistic director Jo Sadler-Lovett “to take the company in an ambitious direction whilst maintaining the company’s core educational and participatory ethos”.

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 17 August, with interviews being conducted during the week beginning 29 August. Further information is available at The Playhouse web site.
