City Of Manchester Opera is in the final rehearsals for Verdi's Macbeth at the RNCM from November 15-17.
It is an opportunity to hear a performance by Lorna Rushton as Lady Macbeth, a former student from RNCM and a fine professional singer, who went into semi-retirement due to family responsibilities and the excessive travelling that a singer has to carry out.
Audiences can also hear an up-and-coming young Irish tenor called Aaron Cawley, "a proper opera tenor", who has already begun a promising career both here and abroad. He is already engaged next year in major houses in Germany.
