War Horse, the National theatre’s cash cow, will return to The Lowry in 2018.

Speaking at a special In Conversation event with The Lowry’s chief executive, Julia Fawcett OBE, NT artistic director Rufus Norris confirmed the acclaimed production will run at the Salford arts centre from June 13 to 30.

The dates will coincide with the national centenary commemorations of the end of the First World War.

These follow two previous runs at The Lowry—the first of which, in 2013, was the most popular run of any show in the venue’s history.
