London Classic Theatre takes Alan Ayckbourn’s Absurd Person Singular to Malvern Theatres from Tuesday until Saturday.

The Classic Thriller Season at Nottingham’s Theatre Royal continues with John Goodrum’s play based on G K Chesterton’s mysteries, Father Brown—The Murderer in the Mirror, featuring John Lyons in the title role, from Tuesday until Saturday.

A tour of an adaptation of crime-writer Peter James’s novel Looking Good Dead, with a cast including Adam Woodyatt (Ian Beale from EastEnders) and Gaynor Faye, starts at Curve, Leicester from Thursday until Saturday before Strictly Come Dancing professionals Anton Du Beke and Giovanni Pernice dance into Curve with Him and Me on Sunday.

Heartbreak Productions is on the road with its outdoor version of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, at Tamworth Castle Grounds, Staffordshire on Friday.

Jenna Russell takes the lead in Pam Gems’s Piaf at a socially distanced Nottingham Playhouse from Friday until Saturday 17 July.

Oddsocks starts a new outdoor season organised by Mansfield Palace Theatre with Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors, in Titchfield Park on Sunday at 5PM.

Derby Theatre continues to stage Toby Hulse’s adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind in the Willows in a marquee on the city’s Market Place until Saturday 11 July.
