The Weebles, one of Northern Stage’s Neighbourhood Events, is an audio experience which can be listened to on Littlehaven Beach in South Shields, where the group of statues called Conversation Piece but known locally as The Weebles is sited, or at home until 31 August. Sucking Eggs, a new play about what it means to grow old by Steve Byron, produced in partnership with Newcastle University, runs at Alphabetti from Tuesday until Saturday 26 June 2021 (excluding Sundays & Mondays). Every performance from Tuesday 22 June will be live-streamed. Like all Alphabetti productions, this is Pay What You Feel.

Waiting in the Wings, another socially distanced and live-streamed instalment of the highly acclaimed musical concert from the Tyne Theatre and Opera House, is on Friday. Full details of the COVID-safe precautions, ticket prices and how to book for both the live show and the stream are on the Tyne Theatre and Opera House web site.

The November Club is streaming a site-specific play, Repeat Signal, from Woodhorn Museum in Ashington from Thursday until 20 June and then from 24 to 27 June.
