The Pirates of Penzance
Company

Scottish Opera and D’Oyly Carte present The Pirates of Penzance at the Theatre Royal, Newcastle, from Tuesday to Saturday.

The GB Project, inspired by maverick British adventurer Gertrude Bell, is at Northern Stage on Friday.

Tyne by Michael Chaplin opens at Live on Thursday and runs until 20 July.

Beneath the Boards runs at the Mill Volvo Tyne Theatre from Monday to Wednesday.

Company is at the Berkeley Tavern in Whitley Bay (Sunday 23 June), the Customs House in South Shields (Monday and Tuesday), Arts Centre Washington (Thursday), Infinity, Sunderland (Friday), Ballarat Studios, North Shields (Saturday) and The Maltings, Berwick (Sunday 30).

Daniel Bye’s The Price of Everything comes to Alnwick Playhouse on Thursday.

A site specific performance of Wall, presented by Oscar Mike, a company which fuses theatre and gaming, is taking place at Vindolanda as part of The Festival of the North East on Saturday at 1PM and 3:30PM. Book tickets through Alnwick Playhouse.

PlayboY, performed by UNISONG and aimed at age 10+, is at The Maltings in Berwick on Friday.

The Comedy of Errors, presented by Oddsocks Productions, is at Dilston Hall on Wednesday and Thursday. Book tickets through the Queen’s Hall in Hexham.

'50s and '60s rock ‘n’ roll “epic” The Twist is at the Playhouse Whitley Bay on Friday, followed from Saturday to Monday by The Gruffalo’s Child.

The Shaolin Warriors come to Billingham Forum on Friday.

At ARC Stockton Daniel Bye’s Story Hunt, a walk through the town, runs at 11AM, 12:30PM, 2:30PM, 4PM, 6PM and 7:30PM. At 5:30 there’s a preview of Tom Walton’s When We Embraced and at 7:30 it’s time for the regular ARCADE Scratch Night.

Ballet Theatre UK presents Alice in Wonderland at Middlesbrough Theatre on Friday.
