Wrong ‘Un – A Suffragettes Story

There are three productions at Newcastle's Theatre Royal this week: from Tuesday to Saturday the touring production of Dial M for Murder is in the main house each evening and from Wednesday to Saturday during the day it's Michael Morpurgo's Private Peaceful and on Saturday evening Love and Red Tape plays in the Studio.

From Tuesday to Saturday the stage adaptation of Benjamin Zephaniah’s novel Refugee Boy comes to Northern Stage. There will be two supporting events: on Tuesday and Wednesday Open Clasp's multi-media installation Songlines will run during the day and on Friday and Saturday (early evenings) Home, a film project by the West End Refugee Service and Newcastle University, will be screened. Both supporting events are free.

In Live Theatre's Studio one of the BITESIZE plays from Queen's Hall Arts, Wishbone by Laura Lindow, will be performed on on Friday and Saturday rather than in Spril as originally scheduled. On Saturday and Sunday in the Main House the Youth Theatre presents a series of theatre pieces under the title Hi-Tech Junkies.

On Tuesday Moscow Ballet – La Classique brings Swan Lake to the Mill Volvo Tyne Theatre.

On Thursday Red Ladder presents one-woman musical Wrong ‘Un – A Suffragettes Story at Arts Centre Washington.

At the Customs House in South Shields on Tuesday Dusc Dance Company performs Dimension 40, followed on Thursday by Pete Peverley with The Bobby Thompson Story.

At Alnwick Playhouse this week Daniel Bye's How to Occupy an Oil Rig is on Tuesday, Wishbone is at 1PM on Wednesday and Love and Red Tape at 1:15 on Friday.

In the Studio at The Maltings in Berwick on Saturday the Berwick Broadcasting Corporation performs The Birds and the Bees.

Moscow Ballet – La Classique brings Swan Lake to the Playhouse Whitley Bay on Wednesday.

The Bobby Thompson Story comes to the Gala in Durham on Saturday and Sunday.

Hot Flush! visits Billingham Forum on Wednesday.

Unicorn Theatre brings children's show There's a Monster in the Garden (for age 2+) to the Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre at 11AM and 2PM on Saturday.

Dryad Productions presents The Unremarkable Death of Marilyn Monroe at Middlesbrough Theatre on Saturday.

From Tuesday to Saturday the touring production of Brassed Off comes to Darlington Civic.

Vincent Dance Theatre brings Motherland to Harrogate Theatre on Thursday.
