The Gruffalo
The Book

It's a very quiet week in North East theatre, with some venues dark and others presenting musical one-night stands or amateur performances.

  • Two shows at Newcastle Theatre Royal this week: Thriller Live from Monday to Saturday and, during the day, The Gruffalo from Tuesday to Saturday.
  • On Saturday Compagnie T-d'U in collaboration with Vivien Wood presents All the Things You Said You Never Said... at Dance City.
  • Lydia's House comes to the Studio at The Customs House on Thursday and from Friday to Sunday the theatre's annual community play. Cold in the Clay, written by BTG NE editor Peter Lathan, is performed at St Hilda's Church in the Market Place, South Shields.
  • At 11AM and 2:30PM on Saturday The Sooty Show comes to Darlington Civic.
  • Flying Cloud presents The Book at Harrogate Theatre on Tuesday and Wednesday.
