Matthew Bourne’s Sleeping Beauty comes to the Theatre Royal, Newcastle, from Tuesday until 16th April.

Tangled Feet and Half Moon Theatre present Need a Little Help, based on the experience of young carers, for children aged 3 – 7 at Northern Stage on Tuesday and Wednesday at 10.30am and 1.30pm, with an additional show at 3.30pm on Tuesday.

Newcastle playwright Alison Carr’s new play Iris opens at Live Theatre on Wednesday and runs until 30th April.

Alphabetti Theatre’s regular WriteBack evening of five short new plays is on Saturday.

Kelly-Abbot Dance Theatre performs Launch Day in the Henry Travers Studio at The Maltings in Berwick on Friday.

How the Koala Learnt to Hug is at the Queen’s Hall in Hexham on Monday at 2pm. Then on Thursday London Classic Theatre brings Pinter’s The Birthday Party to the theatre at 7.30.

Simon Callow’s show about Orson Welles, One Man Band, on Monday has been moved from the Gala Theatre to Durham Town Hall Book tickets at the Gala box office.

London Classic Theatre’s production of The Birthday Party is at Durham’s Gala Theatre on Friday and Saturday.

An Easter panto starring Bobby Davro, The Wizard of Oz, comes to Darlington Civic Theatre on Friday at 3.30 and 7.30 and on Saturday at 1.00 and 4.30.

Northern Ballet presents children’s ballet Tortoise and the Hare on Wednesday at 4pm and 6pm. Then on Thursday at 2.30 The Railway Children comes to the venue.
