Dinosaur Park (The Jurassic Parody) (Customs House, South Shields)
Doorbells (Queen's Hall, Hexham)

There’s a fair amount of stand-up, music and amateur theatre but very little professional work in the region this week.

The Savage continues at Live Theatre until Saturday.

On Thursday at Alphabetti Theatre, Hoodang! presents The Wrong Honourable Gentlemen, a play which they will have created in just three days. This is a ‘pay what you feel’ production.

James Seabright presents Superbolt Theatre's production of Dinosaur Park (The Jurassic Parody) at the Customs House in South Shields on Thursday at 6PM.

On Saturday at 8PM, the Queen’s Hall in Hexham presents another BITESIZE production in the Green Room, Skimstone Arts’ Doorbells.

From Thursday until 28 August at various times, Durham’s Gala Theatre presents 1916 No Turning Back, an immersive theatre experience commemorating the Battle of the Somme in which the auditorium is completely transformed and audiences accompany a new recruit.

The Billingham International Folklore Festival presents its Festival of World Dance at Billingham Forum on Tuesday.

On Friday at 11:00AM and 1:30PM Nonsense Room Productions presents Hairy McClary and Friends, based on the books by Lynley Dodd, at Middlesbrough Theatre.
