The Little Detective Agency, aimed at the under 6s, continues at Northern Stage until 5th January.

Moscow Ballet La Classique presents Nutcracker at the Mill Volvo Tyne Theatre on Thursday.

On Thursday Rosie Kay Dance Company presents There Is Hope at Dance City.

Starlight Express continues at Sunderland Empire until Saturday.

Also on Thursday, Tall Stories brings The Snail and the Whale (for age 4+) to The Maltings at Berwick. This is followed on Saturday by Tacit Theatre with its production of The Canterbury Tales.

Durham’s Gala Theatre’s panto, Sleeping Beauty, opens on Thursday and runs until 5th January.

On Thursday The 8 Fatal Mistakes of Online Dating (and How to Avoid Them), presented by Amy Mackleden, comes to ARC, Stockton.

The musical Soul Sister is at Darlington Civic Theatre from Monday to Saturday.

Harrogate Theatre’s panto Jack and the Beanstalk opens on Friday and runs until 13th January.
