The Bread We Break

Female-led shows lead the way at Manchester Contact around International Women’s Day.

The Glad Game by Pheobe Frances Brown, March 16–17, sees Brown tell her story of finding gladness in the saddest of times.

Miray Sidhom’s The Bread We Break runs March 24–31. Egyptian-born feminist theatre-maker Sidhom traces the history of political uprising from the present day back to the Pharaonic era.

Ahead of both, News News News on March 5 is a TV show made by children for adults. Following an interview with MP for Central Manchester Lucy Powell, it confronts issues facing all through the eyes of the future generation.
