Six talented playwrights bring England’s North West and South West together as Box of Tricks Theatre launches the first cross-regional tour of Word:Play at the Octagon in Bolton, then touring regionally from March 2-27.
Following this inaugural tour Box of Tricks plans to take the event to venues across the breadth of the UK.
Six playwrights, three from each region, have been set the task of writing a 15-minute play inspired by the word ‘division’. Bringing together these two regions of England, and featuring an ensemble cast of four, these experimental works concern issues affecting society today from identity and loss to relationships and the class divide.
