Wish List

Wish List, Katherine Soper’s 2015 Bruntwood Prize-winning play, has its world première this autumn at Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre before transferring to The Royal Court, Jerwood Theatre Upstairs in January.

Soper’s play cuts to the heart of attitudes to work, employment and the unemployed and wowed the judging panel, including Meera Syal, Miranda Sawyer and Bryony Lavery, to take the top prize in 2015.

The play has since been in development at the Exchange and runs in The Studio from September 24 to October 15 directed by Royal Exchange associate artistic director Matthew Xia.

Tamsin packs boxes in a warehouse, on the clock, to a target, with a zero-hour contract. Her brother Dean is housebound. Working to obsessive-compulsive rituals of his own.
