Youngsters join Matthew Bourne’s Romeo and Juliet in Midlands

Young cast members will perform at Midlands venues alongside dancers from the New Adventures Company in Matthew Bourne’s Romeo and Juliet in 2019.

The production visits Northampton’s Royal and Derngate from Tuesday 28 May until Saturday 1 June. Joining the full-time cast in Northampton will be Matthew Brion, Jamie Blackadder, Edwin Cheng, Alanah Corbridge, Elsie Ward and Karishma Young.

Romeo and Juliet can also be seen at Birmingham Hippodrome from Tuesday 10 until Saturday 14 September. Youngsters from the Birmingham area who will be part of the show are Lewis Baker, Órla Baxendale, India-Rose Cox, Savannah Ffrench and Alexander Love.

Nottingham’s Theatre Royal welcomes Romeo and Juliet from Tuesday 1 until Saturday 5 October, with the following six young cast members making their debut with New Adventures: Austin Bladon, Megan Ferguson, Alistair Fernie, Victoria Keal, Jaimie Tank and Sua Tsubokura-Aguiriano.
