Premiere: the Nativity! stage show will open in Birmingham

Young actors are needed to appear in the world premiere of Nativity! The Musical which opens in Birmingham later in 2017 before touring the country.

After the success of the Nativity! films, Birmingham REP is looking for children who are confident singers, dancers and performers to audition for roles in the stage show.

Debbie Isitt, writer and creator of the films, said, “the joyful and funny performances by the children in the Nativity! films were a huge part of their success and we’re hoping to recreate that for the musical. This is a great opportunity for young performers and I can’t wait to see and meet the talent that’s out there.”

Children need to be aged between 9 and 11 on 1 September 2017, no taller than 4ft (122cm) and live in the West Midlands. They should be available for all rehearsal and performance dates between September 2017 and January 2018. Full details are available at the Birmingham REP web site. Closing date for applications is Friday 20 January.

Nativity! The Musical runs at Birmingham REP from 20 October until 12 November and then tours to Southend, Sheffield, Manchester, Plymouth, London and Leeds where it finishes on 6 January 2018.
