How To Survive a Zombie Apocalypse

For the third successive year, Dr Dale Seslick's essential survival lectures on How to survive a Zombie Apocalypse returns to the Edinburgh Fringe. Yes, it's a new year and a new show, with even more sensible advice, and calls for audience participation. The usual crew from last year are all there, as well as a revised format and new physical japery.

The seminars have developed over the years into a fine art of farcical seriousness. Having opened the show into a competition, the format now actively involves everyone in the theatre, with the survival of the crowd at stake. It's not surprising that the run has been repeatedly sold out as the Survival Seminars are now a staple joy of the Fringe, never giving the audience a moment's respite from the hilarity as the seemingly broken and faulty logic of the cast invariably twists into brilliantly seamless comic prestige.

As this is the final year of the Zombie Apocalypses, it's a shame to think that we've learned enough about the walking dead to get by. Like the last day of school, there's a sense of nostalgia that goes with it, but undoubtedly After Dark will have another ace up their sleeve lined up for us next year.
