After the Deepwater Horizon explosion and subsequent oil spill impact on the sea and coastline of America, there is a great deal that needs to be said. NOLA purports to give us an insight into the events by telling the true stories of people affected by the disaster.
The trouble with NOLA, apart from some awkward line deliveries, is that the story of the disaster lacks any resolution. The constant stream of interviews leads on an interesting but unremarkable journey with far too much repetition and not nearly enough pacing to keep it exciting.
Worthiness sadly does not always ensure rapt attention, and while the events and aftermath of the disaster ought to be told, there are better ways of doing so.
