The Big Bite-Size Breakfast Show

The Big Bite-Size Breakfast Show is back again this year, and aren’t we glad. No matter what your expectations are, Shakespeare or new drama, The Big Bite-Size Breakfast Show is always a great kick off for both new and veteran theatre fans. And once again, they are offering a menu of 16 short plays in three rotations.

On menu 2 are six short plays:

  1. Criminal Behaviour by Mary Portalska. A burglar who took a wrong turn breaking into a building has found himself in a holiday booking office. There have been many attempted break-ins in the past that have ended up here, so they are used to it. “Want a cup of tea?” There is no money here as all their bookings are done online.
  2. Halloween by Lauren Smerkanich. A couple trying to one-up the neighbours on Halloween.
  3. Jitters by Rosie Edwards. The Second-Thoughts agency which has kidnapped Judy two hours before her wedding to complete a 31-page questionnaire with the sole purpose of trying to bring down the divorce rate.
  4. The Rota by Annie Fox. Best mates get together after one has given birth. She has got a plan to snare all her friends into helping with the new baby.
  5. Chute by Guy R Newsham. A man who has volunteered to skydive for charity; £1 a mile to save the rabbits. “We can go higher.” “Eh, no!” He is already having second thoughts.
  6. In The Attic. An 18th century drawing room (attic) with a theme not unlike Rebecca. There’s the new wife and the old wife and the friend, etc. It gets a little messy.

The Big Bite-Size Breakfast Show cast are seasoned and veteran actors who can easily handle three different menus of material and 16 short shows. The rotating cast includes Thomas Willshire (5th), Kat Johns Burke (2nd), Tom Hartwell (2nd), Liv Hoplick (1st?) and Claira Amy Parr (1st?).

Nick Brice, the 20-year godfather of TBBSBS, along with director David Frias-Robles have kick-started our Fringe days. Thanks for the coffee.
