A few of our favourite things
Once again, our reviewers have been asked come up with their best theatrical experiences of the year, not necessarily ones that they have reviewed for us or that fall within their usual geographical or subject areas.
Those who have contributed have interpreted the brief in different ways: some have just given a straight list of their favourite productions while others have given reasons for their choices; some have separated their selections into categories, whereas others have embedded them in a more detailed account of their theatrical year.
This year, the pieces are split into separate pages to make them easier to read. The pages are based on the reviewers' usual geographical areas, but, as stated above, some of them have strayed beyond their usual boundaries to make their selections.
