The world première of Welsh playwright Matthew Trevannion’s Leviathan is to be the first Òran Mór and Sherman Cymru A Play, A Pie and A Pint co-production.
This series of darkly comic short plays is performed by an all-female cast; it tells the story of three generations of women in the Valleys, their familial ties and their attempts to detach themselves from their past.
Rachel O’Riordan directs BAFTA Cymru award-winning actress Siw Hughes who will play the role of the Grandmother, Mavis, Claire Cage, who will play Karen her daughter and mother to Hannah, played by Gwawr Loader.
A Play, A Pie and A Pint: Leviathan will run at:
- Òran Mór from 9 to 14 March
- Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh from 17 to 21 March
- Sherman Theatre from 24 to 28 March (with post-show talk on 26 March)
