Aakash Odedra Company has announced its 2019 adult summer school line-up at venues across Leicester, the company’s home base, from Monday 29 July to Friday 2 August.
The Summer School is intended to give dance professionals and experienced dance students the opportunity to diversify their practice by offering a different technique every day taught by dance professionals, including Odedra himself.
On Monday 29 July, Laura Vanhulle teaches Skills, Strength and Stretch at Curve Theatre; on Tuesday 30 July Gareth Woodward teaches Hip Hop at Addict Dance Academy; on Wednesday 31 July Aakash Odedra teaches Kathak at Desi Masti; on Thursday 1 August, Naomi Moore from Motionhouse teaches Contemporary at De Montfort University; and on Friday 2 August, Juliana Moraes teaches Ballet at De Montfort University.
Odedra said, “we are committed to offering the very best dance provision right here in the Midlands. Our Adult Summer School, which we have conceived with Leicester Dance Network, is a vital part of that. Crucially, participants don’t have to sign up to the whole week, instead they can can tailor what is on offer to their individual need. I hope this gives people a great chance to explore."
