The Golden Bucket Awards celebrate the most effective and supportive fundraisers for UK charity, Acting for Others.

It has been a record year for fundraising with over £400,000 collected through bucket collections in theatres and a variety of special events.

The Awards recognise the best speech encouraging audiences to donate, the most inventive way of fundraising, best social media activity, and best support from front of house, amongst others.

And the winners are:

  • Where Would We Be Without You Award - Bill Kenwright Ltd
  • Superstar Award - Cleve September
  • Fantastic Front of House Award - Victoria Palace Theatre and Hamilton
  • The Golden Bucket Award – Regional - Wicked and The Mayflower Theatre
  • The Golden Bucket Award – London - The Book of Mormon and Prince of Wales Theatre

Acting for Others provides financial and emotional support to theatre workers through its member charities that include Actors’ Children’s Trust, Dancers’ Career Development, Denville Hall, The Evelyn Norris Trust, Grand Order of Water Rats Charities Fund and Ralph and Meriel Richardson Foundation.

Acting For Others' inaugural West End Flea Market will take place on 18 May at St Paul’s Church, Covent Garden, London from 10:45AM to 1PM.

Amongst the items on offer for sale at this fundraising event are signed posters, props and photos. Theatrical memorabilia will be auctioned and there will be the chance to meet stars from hit shows.
