One Dance UK has appointed Amanda Skoog as the new Chair of the Board of Trustees with immediate effect after previous chair Sue Wyatt stepped down earlier this year after four years.

Currently working as Senior Producer with The Royal Ballet, Skoog has also previously worked as Chief Executive for Shobana Jeyasingh Dance and the Royal New Zealand Ballet, as a dance educator for English National Ballet and as Assistant Director of Central School of Ballet and at one time she ran Dance Aotearoa New Zealand.

She said, “it is a huge privilege to be appointed Chair of One Dance UK. My entire life has been centred around dance and this is a wonderful opportunity for me to give something back and to support the sector I love. I am in awe of the achievements of the team at One Dance UK and their dedication to help the entire dance community, especially at this time. I very much look forward to working with Andrew and the board to ensure One Dance UK continues to grow and advocate, realising the ambitions for dance, in all its genres, into the future.”
