Royal Court Pussy Riot

On 3 November The Royal Court will hold an afternoon of events expressing the "punk political spirit" of Pussy Riot, Russia's feminist punk band collective found guilty of hooliganism after staging an anti-Putin protest in one of Moscow’s cathedrals.

For a few hours, writers, artists and performers will share the spirit of anarchic artistic expression with audiences who will be encouraged to participate via social media or in person.

Extracts from the Pussy Riot trial will be performed together with short plays by Russian and British playwrights followed by a debate on feminism in the arts.
