Final year drama school and university performance students from a working class background are invited to apply for support from The Luke Westlake Scholarship.

The winner will receive a package of support including one year’s Spotlight membership, subscription to The Stage, a showreel, a voice reel, headshots, a full tax return, lunches with casting directors and agents and £500 towards rent.

The Scholarship addresses issues of access to the industry for those from a working class background at risk of being priced out of a career in performance. It was launched last year by Just Add Milk Theatre Company.

The scholarship programme has been renamed in honour of Luke Westlake, a young, working class actor who took his life in lockdown.

Just Add Milk Theatre also provides affordable workshops with industry professionals, agents and casting directors and produces new writing.

The closing date for Scholarship applications is 26 October, and the winner will be announced in December.
