Lysistrata - touring

Theatre company Theatrical Niche is touring a new adaptation of Aristophanes’ comedy Lysistrata.

Using a contemporary text, this is a multi-disciplinary production using physical comedy, puppetry and mask adapted by Venetia Twigg and directed by Alice Sillett.

The story of Lysistrata—one woman brave enough to take men on at their own game—is suitable for ages 14 and upwards; this production visits schools, provides workshops and continues to tour to regional theatres:

  • Charlton Park, Canterbury
  • Kentwell Hall, Sudbury
  • Stamford Arts Centre, Lincolnshire
  • New Wimbledon Studio, London
  • Stantonbury Theatre, Milton Keynes
  • Trinity Theatre, Tunbridge Wells
  • Tower Theatre, Folkestone
  • Granary Theatre, Wells-Next-the-Sea
