This week saw the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society reveal the details of its first Fringe Artist and Venue Recovery Fund awards.
The programme will support fifteen diverse productions to be presented at the Festival over this year and next, and five Fringe venues will also share in the funding to develop infrastructure, accessibility and representation projects.
The Fringe Artist and Venue Recovery Fund raised the £75,000 being distributed between the five venues and fifteen shows through ticket sales, donations and the Fringe Society’s Fringe Makers platform in partnership with Crowdfunder.
Qualifying applications were assessed by an independent panel and grant-giving has been overseen by a non-voting chair. Further details can be found at SmartyGrants, the grants management system that operated the process.
