Theatregoers had donated £5,000 to the venue’s Christmas appeal just two weeks after its launch.
Set up to raise money for a new performing arts project designed to engage Looked After Children and Care Leavers in the Salford area, the mission to beat last year’s collection, which raised more than £10,000, appears to be well on course.
