Mons
In A Deep Dark Wood

Two further children's shows have been added to the programme at Sadler's Wells.

Gobbledegook returns to the Lilian Baylis Studio (26-28 October) with In A Deep Dark Wood for those aged five and over and a sister show Deep In The Woods, for those under five.

The shows use shadow play, interactive video installations, contemporary dance and acrobatics to tell the story of a little girl's adventures in a dark and mysterious forest.

There are post-show workshops for ticket holders only and family craft activities.

Mons is a dance theatre show for the over sixes receiving its UK première (16–17 November). Inspired by the work of Taiwanese author and illustrator Jimmy Liao, Mons uses video to tell a story set in a fantasy reality.

These shows are in addition to the previously reported programme of

  • The Snowman – 27 November to 5 January
  • Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake – 4 December to 26 January
  • BOING! – 20 December to 5 January
