On Stage: Live from Television Centre is an evening of live theatre on BBC Four on Sunday 15 November at 9PM.

The BBC hands over to Battersea Arts Centre for an evening of live theatre, bringing live performance back to the old BBC TV headquarters. Kirsty Wark introduces four 30-minute theatre shorts featuring comedy, dance and drama.

The evening will see some of the UK's independent theatre-makers (physical theatre company Gecko, artist and raconteur Richard DeDomenici, Common Wealth who make work in partnership with communities, and real-life Tourettes superhero Jess Thom) bring live performance back to Television Centre for the first time since its closure in 2013 and ahead of its redevelopment.

Gecko performs The Time of Your Life about one man’s struggle against the system. In The Redux Project, Richard DeDomenici recreates memorable BBC clips from Top of the Pops moments to Blue Peter disasters. Bradford-based Common Wealth's No Guts, No Heart, No Glory is based on real-life interviews with Muslim female boxers.

Broadcast from Biscuit Land, performed by Jess Thom, an artist with Tourette’s Syndrome whose unique neurology makes her say "biscuit" 16,000 times a day, leads to a musical finale featuring a choir, brass band and dancing biscuits.

The programme will be available on BBC iPlayer for 30 days following transmission.
