FRAME: The London Dance Film Festival, a major new event to be produced by BalletBoyz and the International Music + Media Centre (IMZ Vienna), will take place in the UK next June.
In partnership with the international dancescreen competition, FRAME will feature new films alongside established favourites in a programme of events designed to appeal to a broad audience.
Screenings of feature-length films and competitive shorts will be accompanied by a public programme of events alongside industry workshops and panels led by prominent figures in broadcasting, music, and dance.
The three-day celebration of the best of dance in film will be supported by BBC Arts and patrons such as former Royal Ballet ballerina and TV presenter Darcey Bussell and bestselling author and TV writer Lynda La Plante.
BalletBoyz co-founders and artistic directors Michael Nunn and William Trevitt said: “As dance and film-makers, we are really excited to announce the launch of FRAME: The London Dance Film Festival.
"We are thrilled to be working with dancescreen and a host of great partners to bring the best of dance on film from around the world to our home town of Kingston. We believe that this is a rich, diverse and constantly evolving genre and one that deserves more exposure”.
