Returning to the venue that hosted their first public performance—as George Piper Dances in 2001—BalletBoyz will perform at Roundhouse Summer Sessions on 31 July and 1 August 2014.

Following three successful nationwide UK tours and sell-out performances in Australia and Europe, BalletBoyz theTalent will perform Liam Scarlett’s Serpent and Russell Maliphant’s Fallen for the last time in the UK.

To celebrate the success of this critically acclaimed popular double bill, the BBC Concert Orchestra will join the ten-strong cast of dancers to perform Max Richter’s score for Serpent and Armand Amar’s score for Fallen.

And audiences will be treated to an exclusive excerpt of BalletBoyz new show Young Men, co-commissioned by 14-18 NOW and Sadler’s Wells. The full work will be premièred in January 2015 at Sadler’s Wells.

Choreographed by NDT dancer-choreographer Iván Pérez, Young Men explores the theme of war and the bond that forms between the men who train and fight together, drawing inspiration from images of war throughout the ages, in particular the First World War.

Young Men features an original score by British singer-songwriter, composer and illustrator Keaton Henson, who will perform an extract of it at the Roundhouse.
