Northern Ballet has announced its 2023/24 season, the first under new Artistic Director Federico Bonelli, from UK and world premières to the revival of critically acclaimed classic repertoire.

An autumn triple bill will feature a world première from Tiler Peck, a UK première from Royal ballet soloist Benjamin Ella and Hans Van manen's Adagio Hammerklavier; a restaging of Christopher Gable's and Massimo Morricone's Romeo & Juliet. A new response to Romeo & Juliet from Mthuthuzeli November is promised for 2024.

Children's ballet The Tortoise and the Hare will return this autumn with performances in Leeds and London before touring. Sketches, a programme developing young choreographic voices, will launch in May. The company's inclusive dance festival, Expressions, will mark its tenth anniversary with a new dance film by Ben Wright featuring Northern Ballet dancers and Ability, the company's course for adults with additional learning support needs, and a performance from Candoco.
