Pavilion Dance South West and Foundation for Community Dance—two dance organisations who share a common goal of supporting and developing ways to use the art form of dance to make a difference to peoples’ lives—have joined forces to host the Integrated Dance Summit on 16 & 17 May.

Integrated dance artists are professional dancers or companies made up of dancers with and without disabilities.

The summit will present performances from a number of professional integrated dance companies over the two days.

There will also be works in progress that emerged from the Integrated ChoreoLAB which took place in April.

The ChoreoLAB is an initiative supporting and encouraging collaboration between artists to create new work. Three integrated dance artists spent a week in the Pavilion Dance studios devising new work, which will be presented at the summit.

Dance programmers from all over the country, and abroad are going to Bournemouth to see works by eight companies, meet artists and peers face to face, engage in debate and discussion and learn from the experience of others.
